Event Description:
The Pinellas County Parks and Recreation was hit the hardest during recent budgetary cuts at the County level and park employees were reduced by one-half over the past three years. In response to this rising need of volunteer service in the local parks, The Junior League of St. Petersburg is hosting a Coastal Cleanup at Fort De Soto Park (3500 Pinellas Bayway South, Tierra Verde) on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 9 a.m. to noon at Shelter 12. This coastal cleanup is free and open to family and friends. There will be an optional potluck lunch after the cleanup. Please join us for this opportunity to have fun while helping the environment and our community!
